Challenges: Communication with business users and developers in German, Polish and English. Dynamic market with exchanges of 4,000 vehicles per day.
Solution: Development of Online Vehicle valuation and procurement tool for the B2B market. Integration with back-end systems from Insurance organisations.
Challenges: Balancing the launch of new technology innovations with the increased demand from customers. Working with the preference of Auto Online for Microsoft .NET technologies and creating multi-lingual solutions for the German and Eastern European markets.
Solution: Initially Auto Online were considering developing the vehicle valuation tool with IT contractors. However, because the roadmap of the solution anticipated several enhancements and additional functions – an IT Outsourcing team from FIS SST were selected.
Auto Online opted for a long term partner that ensured continuity and also a team with a wide range of technology competencies rather than the restrictions of using services from individuals.
Project management of the tasks between Auto Online business requirements and FIS SST application creation was based on SCRUM methodology.
The first solution, ‘Fleet Online’ – created a web application for marketing pre-owned fleet cars and lease returns. FIS SST provided the application development as well as the technical support for Auto Online.
The B2B model was then extended to include:
‘Trace Online’ – to display the procurement process of vehicles
‘Easy Online’ – a web-based auction software for commercial car buyers and retailers
‘Value Online’ – a desktop application that identifies the location of vehicles
The web-applications were also integrated with backend systems from insurance company PZU.
